Glasses
Reading glasses are very expensive in Uganda (approximately $15/pair) and unaffordable for our population of patients.
We take hundreds of pairs of donated glasses to dispense. There is no charge for glasses dispensed by the clinic.
Cataracts are common because many patients spend most of their day outside in the equatorial sun. Lots of sunglasses are distributed.
Reading glasses can be life-changing for older patients who may no longer be able to sew or read without them.
